What We Do

Christian Horizons’ purpose is:
- to teach each guest about God, His gift of salvation, His love,
and instructions for living.
- to provide committed Christian staff as godly examples.
- to provide opportunities for outdoor recreation and learning
about God’s creation.
- to provide opportunities for fun and social interaction.
- to provide opportunities to develop new skills.
- to provide a time of respite for parents/caregivers.
Christian Horizons’ camp is a place where:
 a person whose car rides usually consist of trips to the doctor and other professional care, can come and enjoy Michigan’s great outdoors!
- a person with a disability can sing "Jesus Loves Me" with others just like themselves, at the top of their lungs, without fear of someone making fun of them!
- one who will likely never be able to go on a hunting trip, can shoot a bow and arrow on our archery range!
- someone lacking the manual dexterity to go swimming, can do so (with our assistance) in our swimming area!
- the caregiver of a disabled person can leave them for a week of respite, assured of professional, loving Christian care for their loved one!
